Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

One year married no kids

Wife is seeking equitable interest from my house, which I owned prior to marriage. The marriage duration was only 16 month before filing. What can I expect from this for she should not be entitled to anything after only one year. She had nothing to bring into this marriage except herself and her cat. Can the marriage debt be considered since I refinanced it in a new loan after we were married?

So long as you did not deed your house to add your wife's name as an owner she will get the cat.
