Legal Question in Immigration Law in New Jersey

I got married last year and as i applied to fix my legal situation I got an work permit but I was told I wasn`t gonna be able to proceed with my paper work unless I had my situation in florida cleared up.

It showed on their records that a person with my identity and a different picture was wanted for a d.u.i in Florida after not showing up in court after a d.u.i stop.I`m unable to drive,leave the country until this situation that i fell trapt on is cleared and i was wondering if after my name was cleared if i had a case against the state of Florida.
