Legal Question in Insurance Law in New Jersey
Corporate Blackmail
A company in New Jersey wants my husband's premiums from the 9th-12th months ($10,000) or they say they will sue him for leaving the company and working with a previous manager of theirs - he's been gone for 9 mths. They sued the previous manager on a non-compete clause, they did not win, but in order to keep the New Jersey company from trying to come back at him again, he had to sign over a large amount of premiums. What should we do?? We live in NC.
