Legal Question in Insurance Law in New Jersey

Life Insurance

I believe my brother changed my elderly mother's life insurance beneficaries to include only himself, excluding all her other children. Is there a data bank that I can search to see if (or how many) life insurance policies exist in her name? She lives in Clifton, NJ.

Re: Life Insurance

These kinds of fights can be brutal. I see you are one of the 'out-of-state' relatives, and you are being harmed by the 'local' boy who wants to take it all.

I suppose you have tried just talking to her, and tried dealing with your brother, but no luck, and that is why you are asking.

There is no shortcut that I know of. You will need to start a fight (do it NOW before your mom passes away!), and you will need a lawyer to assist.

Please call my office if I can assist you. You can then decide how you would like to proceed.
