Legal Question in Insurance Law in New Jersey

I have recently 3months, been getting calls from PARC a debt collector, about a bill from St James hospital in Newark NJ. This hospital has been closed for some years now. The bill is from12-30-2004. I called my then health ins. provider GHI and they said the amount of $338.54 can't possibly be for a hospital bill. They claimed I did not have insurance. I was at the hospital at that time but GHI claims they handled all my bills. PARC calls me every day sometimes twice a day. I asked for an itemized bill to be sent to me. It has not arrived yet. They told me they do not have to notify me if they take me to court and get they can get the money from my income tax refund without so much as a postcard. They said even though the hospital is now defunct, they bought the debt and can get the money from me legally with out any interference or cooperation from me. What can I do? Now I get another letter from another hospital this time it is PDAB collection agency for Raritan Bay Medical Center with no date of service and a amount due of $100. I don't know where this is coming from. I havent been at this hospital in so long I cannot remember the last time.
