Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

Can a hotel be held responsible for personal injury?

While staying in a hotel I was bitten by a tick. I removed the tick & gave it to the hotel manager & requested they make note of the incident in there log book. I became ill, was seen by my family Physician who had me have a lyme Titer drawen & tested for Lyme Disease. The test came back Positive. I am curently undergoing medical treatment for the Lyme Bacteria in my system. My Physician sugested I ''fax a copy of the Lyme test to the hotel so that they are aware of the seriousness of this situation''. I received the test results to fax yesterday 8/13/2004. I have not done so yet because I am uncertain as to what action to take. I am a registered nurse that has worked in critical care areas for 13 years & am aware of the affects Lyme Disease can have on various body systems. The mental anguish & pain I am currently undergoing is dishearting to me & I would appreiate any assistance you may beable to offer...Thank you for your time.

where was the hotel located? They may be responsible especially if they have had incidents prior to your's and have done nothing to correct the proble (i.e pest control)
