Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

contract and commitments

I have a signed contract for the purchase of my home. Once I was out of attorney review I found another home and purchased it. My buyer was not able to obtain his mortgage commitment by the specified date, his agent kept promising it would come through. Because the date was not made, I lost the home I was going to purchase. Two days later the commitment came throught but the valitity of it is in question because it turns out my buyer is in bankruptcy and did not obtain permission from is trustee to get a loan. While waiting for all this to happen I lost the home I wanted to purchase, a buyer capable of purchasing my home and almost a month of marketing. I feel the buyer misrepresented himself and the agent misrepresented the buyer. Is there anything I can do legally? Thanks for any help.

Everything depends on what your contract says about defaults and remedies. If you would like me to take a look at it, give a call.
