Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Can't find a person who left stuff in my garage

I live in a condo with a garage. I had a neighbor who moved and stored stuff in my garage. Periodically, she has E Mailed me to say she would be coming to take some stuff out. I have not forced her to take stuff out and have said that as long as I do not need the space, it is ok.

I now need the space. I have sent 3 E Mails to her and she has not responded. I do not know her phone number or address. I looked up her last name on the internet and found many that might be her. I would be guessing to call all the numbers.

Can I legally have all her stuff removed from my garage and dumped? Do I have to make further efforts to contact her? What would those efforts need to be?

You MUST comply with the NJ Abandoned Property Act, and we can assist you with that. It also depends on if you were charging rent for the garage.
