Forclosure

if a property is deeded to a trust and a private mortgage is given on the property and the trust defaults on the monthly payments, can it be forclosed on and is the procedure any different than any other type of mortgage

There should be no difference. You may have to add additional defendants to cover all parties who may have an interest in the trust, to assure all rights are extinguished.
