Tenant refuses to remove belongings

I had someone living in my home who is no longer living here and refuses to remove thier belongings. How long am i obligated to keep thier possessions in my home. I have requested that the belongings be removed to no avail. Legally how long do i need to keep them in my home before disgarding them.
