Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Jersey

Tenants Rights

I live in a condo which I rented 3 years ago, the unit went into foreclosure, I only found this out when the realtor for the new owner stopped by, now i am out my security deposit and the realtor for the new owner has advised me that if I don't cooperate and vacate the premises, I will be thrown out on to the streets. What are my rights as a tenant, I have found a place, and do plan to move by the end of July, What are my rights.

Re: Tenants Rights

As to the move, they must give you 30 days written notice, as you will be considered a month-to-month tenant. The security should have been held in an interest-bearing account, not by the landlord personally. If this was not done, you can sue the landlord (small claims) and may get triple damages.
