Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

My daughter has a provisional license. She got a 2-point ticket for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. We went to court, decided to pay the ticket, and she's taking an online defensive driving course right now which will remove the two points. Last week, she got a speeding ticket, 70 in a 55, pulled over by a state trooper. This will be a 4-pt ticket, and her second offense.

We consulted an attorney who said on a second offense she could get a 3-month suspension, and that the law is there is no plea-bargaining on a provisional license. He said he didn't want to take our money because he couldn't do anything to help us and also doesn't know the prosecutor in this town.

The ticket is probably a blessing in disguise, we know that, and we took the car away from her except to drive to work to pay for all this. Some of the attorneys on this board say they can help, but I don't see how if it's a provisional license. We don't have money for an attorney, but is there hope here?

Is there help for youir daughter. No one can say. All that lawyer can do is to set a goal and work at attaining it. Of course, it would help quite a bit if she would take a break from getting stopped by the police.

Call me if you like.
