Legal Question in Traffic Law in New Jersey

Traffic Violations

In september I got pulled over for a failure to stop, but i did stop, i just stopped after the white line, which would be a rolling stop. I went to court in december and they told me theres a new law where minors cant get the no-point ticket and this law was issues a month ago. If i would have been in court in september when it happened, i could get the no point ticket so we scheduled another court date. We got the notice in the mail and my mom postponed it. They never postponed my court date and now theres a warrant for my arrest and i have court at 8:30 AM, what do i do?

Re: Traffic Violations

Normally, the law in effect at the time of the offense controls the penalty. It may be that this particular court is using its general discretion to reject plea bargains in the case of drivers fitting your circumstances. You need an attorney to represent you.
