Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

My father passed away 7-10-09, he remarried after my mother and him divorced, what i want to know is do i have a legal right to any of the insurance money if i was not in his will.

Insurance is a contract requiring the insurance company to pay named beneficiares named on same. If you were a named beneficiary you were entitled to money and if you were not so named you do not collect money.
