I am not sure what you mean by time limits? A Will cannot be submitted for peobate within the first 10 days following the date of death. A caveat to prevent a Will from being probated can be filed any time before the Will is submitted, and a contest (questioning the legitimacy of the Will or its probate) must be filed within 4 months of the initiation of probate, if you are a NJ resident or 6 months, if you are a non-resident. There is no time limit to submit a Will for probate.
