Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

If a young 60 year old gold digger, drags an 84 year old, illiterate (can't read or write) lonely, fairly wealthy old man off to Las Vegas to get married and live full time in Morris County New Jersey, are they considered Legally married in the state of New Jersey?

I've heard that they have to actually register in New Jersey to be legal.

A valid marriage is a valid marriage even if not formally conducted in the State bwhere they live. It is unusual for a marriage to be recorded. This is an answer to an Internet question and the reply is not intended to be legal advice or as creasting an attorney-client relationship.
