Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Mexico

My husband was arrested and has not has his miranda rights read to him yet. How long do they have to read him his rights?

Miranda warnings are required only at the beginning of in-custodial interrogation. If there is no interrogation, and no statement is sought by law enforcement, providing Miranda warnings is purely optional.
