can i give guardian of my chid

i need to know if i can give my ex wife guardian over my kid now that i have beeen call back to duty for the army for home land duty i got full custody of my kid she dont but she is willing to help me out can she take my kid way from me in the long run if so how can i stop her from trying dont have any one to look after her ????? thank you for your help

Your concerns can be addressed more directly by speaking to an attorney who could draft the agreement for you. Also, the JAG (military lawyers) can give you a good response to this query and it won't cost you any money (if that is a concern).

You have several isues that must be addressed in any agreement with your ex. These issues are concerning child support, visitation and custody. In N.M. we have a law under the probate code that allows a type of 'temporary custody' to another person. The law and its nuances are too detailed to go into here but an attorney who practices family law could give you a clear idea if this law will fit your situation.

Your best course of action, before you leave, is to go and spend a couple of hours with a family law attorney.
