Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Mexico

Loud Music from neighboring apartment

I moved into an apartment in August 2007 where i live with two other roommates. The wall to my room is the dividing wall between my apartment and my neighbor's apartment. Loud music is constantly blaring through the walls, making it hard to study, nap, watch tv, or any other task in peace. I have reported the problem to the property manager twice, but she does little more than post a paper on their door asking them to try and be more quite. If the property manager does not take more steps, is there any way terminate my year's lease? Is there any other steps I can take to solve this problem?

You could hire an Atty to send a strongly worded letter.

You could move if you sufficiently document LL failure to correct situation.I have been a LL 28 years. Call or email for assistance.
