Legal Question in Disability Law in New York

i purchased a 2008 vehicle this in May of this year - I was given a spare key w/remote and a valet key. Last week while camping the original set was lost - when I tried the spare keys - none worked - took the car to a dealer and was informed that the keys are for a totally different vehicle, replacement cost $350. The used car dealer I bought the car from says he takes no responsibility and refuses to pay for even half of the expense to replace the spare keys. Isn't it assumed that the spare keys a dealer gives you are for the car you purchased? I am thinking of taking him to small claims court for the total cost of the replacement keys. Do you think I have a solid case?
