Legal Question in Business Law in New York

I'm an African American and a US Citizen. I feel strongly that, I have been discriminated not only on the basis of not having a Credit Card, but on something else.

I signed up and paid to rent a car from National, plus insurance. I got my confirmatin number and went to the office to pick it up. I was denied. They asked that, in addition to my NY State Driver's License and my Chase Bank Debit Card; I needed to have an Airline or Train ticket.

Fortunately, I flew in back to the US the day before. (Less than 24hrs). So, I went out to find a computer and printed it. "Here is my Ticket, also, I have an open reservation for a later date". I said, "is that good enough?". The Supervisor, who I demanded to be seen, said "No, you need a round ticket"

I was shocked and stunned!. My day was destroyed by these people (National).

I went to Hertz and got a car. I noticed, however that, there was a huge sign on displayed at Hertz, that says "It is a Federal offence, to deny anyone from renting a car, based on not having a Credit Card"

I checked my account the following day and it shows that, they are still charging me for the insurance of the car they refused to rent to me.

I'd like to know, can I sue this people? Do I have a good case?

Please help.

Thank you.

MD.
