caompany owner's name registration

Hello,

I would like to know whether it is permissible to register a new company under TWO owners names---one with the actual name (for ex.: John Doe), and the other either as ''anonymous'' or under a nickname/aka name, providing that it won't affect the business at all.

The other question is whether it is possible to switch a company's owner in the future, ie change the owner from person A to person--name removed--? If so, how can we do it?

I think you are confusing the incorporators/organizers who form the company from the owners of the company -- they need not be the same. That said, you may not use an anonymous incorporator and you must provide, at least in NYS, the legal name of the incorporator(s).

I agree with John, but have a suggestion. Only one registered name need be used to form a corporation. The use of a fictitious name in the corporate title may be permissable, depending upon the purpose of the use of the name; i.e., it is not being used for an unlawful purpose or not to confuse the business with a real persons's name that may have some ready identification (like George Bush) on which you are trying to conduct your business by pretending that person is affiliated with the business.
