Re: injuction

You would need to go to court and sue to obtain an injunction which could be difficult to do if all you have is a suspecion that he might try to do that. You may want to consider alternatives such as ensuring that a potential buyer is aware that you are a co-owner. This strategy is effective but legally complex, because you need to be sure that you have the right to prevent a sale.

You should in either case seek legal advice before proceeding -- this is a complicated situation and you would be doing yourself a disservice if you do not consult with a lawyer.

You may contact me at (212) 695-6400.

Best of luck.

Re: injuction

Dear sir or madam:

What form of business do you and your partner share? (e.g., corporation, partnership, LLC, etc.)?

An injunction is a court order and can be costly to obtain.

You should first have an attorney review your relationship with your partner, and then determine how best to protect your interests.
