Legal Question in Business Law in New York

Merchant Account Problem

I had a merchant account with Redwood merchant services for a little over a year. I did not notice when I signed up that their customer service was the worst I have ever seen. Last month I recieved 2 charge backs for items that were shipped. Just to avoid any problems with a new account I refunded the payments and took the loss. When I tried to contact my Merchant account I never was able to talk to anyone I always got the same responce ''the person you need to talk to is not at her desk'' I left literaly hundreds of messages and never recieved a call back. They since have terminated my account for I would guess the chargebacks which I had proof of shipment to the buyers credit card billing address signed by the card holder.

Now what Redwood has done is placed me on a chargeback list with VISA and MasterCard so I can no longer obtain a merchant account. I have asked what I can do about this and am being told the only one that can remove my company from this list is Redwood. Now this is useless since they will not answer my calls just keep passing me to a voicemali and no one ever calls back.

This can not be legal 2 charge backs in a year by 2 people within a mile from eachother. Now I can never get an account.

Re: Merchant Account Problem

This is too complicated to be answered in this way. You need a lawyer.
