was solicted for money

I am a evndor taht supplies to private companies, When i first started my company which was and still is from my basement i was desperate for an account. when i finally got an account the companies purchasing manager kept giving us a hard time. He than asked that he recieve 50% of the profit form our bussiness and that we make him a partner. I did what he asked me to because i needed money to pay my expenses. At his been over a year now, and i am tired of giving him money i want to go tell teh company owners but feel aprehensive since i don't knwo what teh legal consequences may for me and the purchase manager. Any advice on what I can do? -thank you

You are being ripped off and so is the company. You however knowingly were paying the kickback. The relavent statute is Penal Law 180.03. It is a felony (assuming you have given him more than $250). I would get to an attorney right away and see if he can work it out with the company and maybe with the government if that becomes a problem. You may also be able to recover what you have given him. If the contract you are servicing is a federal or city matter, You may also be able to blow the whistle on the manager and make money on the part of the fee paid out.
