Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

i am doing a book report and for this book report i had to read the satanic bible for more information so my school seen me reading this bible and now i cant go back to school with out seeing a doctor. can i do anything?

First ask yourself this question; Can you substantiate the connection between your book report and the material read, i.e. The Satanic Bible?

Next, I would find out under what policy the school is keeping you out?

Then remind them that freedom of thought, does not translate into action and that unless they can identify a threat to you or the school, they should allow you back in.

If that fails, then I suggest contacting a civil rights attorney, I would be happy to discuss the case and issues with you.
