Legal Question in Consumer Law in New York

i purchase 2 lcd tvs and surround sounds at 6ave electronics at the time the tvs were not in stock so i took the surround sounds that day and paid for everything, i was told to return within 2-3wks to collect the tvs. low and behold when i returned 6ave is telling me there computer is showing that i collected the tvs the day i made the purchase. could u please advise on what steps i should take someone is taking me for a ride

If you made payment but did not collect the units, you are entitled to either the televisions or the return of your money.

First, if paid by credit card I would contact the credit card company. Many times the company will help you rectify the situation.

Second, I would send a written demand to the store detailing what happened and demanding either the store delivers the televisions or reimburses the units.

Third, if money spent was under $5,000, I would commence an action in Small Claims Court. Go to the second floor of the District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead, and request a small claims form. Complete the information detailing what happened.
