Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Summons

Hi, I asked about receiving a summons and whether or not I should answer it or not and you said that I should always answer it. That they would make a payment plan, but what if I don't answer it. What will happen? I do not have the financial means to pay it back. What can they or will the courts do if I do not answer the summons? Or what do they do if I do answer and tell them I have no money to pay them back? Thank you for your time. Have a good day

You may be saying that you are "judgment proof". Before you decide how (or if) to respond, take a look at the following article: http://www.sbls.org/index.php?id=23
