Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I have been arrested for forciable touch of a co-workers, my lawyer got me a violation instead of a misdemeanor can a violation prevent me to apply for a state, fedral jobs, can it be sealed, and is it following me to different state?

Depends on the violation. If it is a Disorderly Conduct then it is possible under certain circumstances it can be sealed. If it is Harassment that might be a problem. Certain violations can follow you and can be a block to certain employment.

Violations in New York are automatically sealed, unless you waive sealing. A violation is not a crime and should be no bar to any kind of employment, but although it is not a legal bar, any employer who finds out about it might not hire you without giving the violation as a reason.
