Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Child Molestation,statues
I am trying to find out what the statue of limitations would be in NY state on child molestation.
My daughter & my niece have both recently told us ,that they were both molested by my brother when they were 5 years old he was aproximately 16 & 18 at the time this accured . They were threatened to keep quiet and just recently told my sister & myself. Their ages now are 25 and 27 ....his is approximately 38 now. This happened when they both were 5 years old, two years apart and have suffered the consequences of this unforgivable act & still do, which has cause them both emotional problems, some are documented, some are not.
