Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I committed a criminal sale of a controlled substance to an informante, while the informant was waiting for me @ my apt. I went out to purchase the substance and upon my return he left a couple of seconds the narcotics were knocking @ my door asking for someone name Flaco it was a reason for me to open my door and they could enter but it didnt happen so they knocked my door without a warrent and persue to arrest me is that legal or what?
