Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Domestic abuse

My husband and I got into a domestic dispute that resulted in me calling the cops on him, well I wasn't sober and feel as if I caused most of the injuries to my face I'm afraid he will go to jail even in his innocence because of the picture and my intial statement. I was highly intoxicated and acted too quickly in the matter, can I recant my statement in hopes he won't be charged? Also if I testrify or appear on his behalf what are the chances the case will be dismissed?

Re: Domestic abuse

Generally in order to keep a case going the da has to

Not only have the original complaint but a corroborating

Document as well... Meaning you'd have to go back in to

The da's office and sign other documents for the case to

Hold up.

If you do not sign a corroborating document the case will

Eventually be dismissed. If you have then if the case goes

To trial you can testify as to what you now know to be the

truth.

I'd also suggest hiring a good lawyer if possible. My office

Would be happy to assist with his defense and ensure that

Everything goes smoothly. Contact us at 2127098303
