trespassing

I unintentionally shopifted at a store and was charged with trespassing. The item has already been paid for, so what Is the penalty for this irresponsible action.

if the store goes forward with prosecution you could be facing a misdemeanor conviction, in the state of new york this is never removed from your record.

The penalty itself will not be harsh but the consequences of how your case is resolved may be more important. In some cases you will suffer consequences for pleading guilty to an offense. Talk to an attorney before making any decisions.
