Re: driving with no permit.

you should hre an attorney, have him turn himself in, and in all likelihood there will be a reasonable offer to take care of this situation... do not be afraid, any attorney worth half his weight in salt will be able handle such a case in their sleep.

much luck!

Re: driving with no permit.

There is a difference between driving without a license which is only an infraction, and driving with a license suspended whihc is a misdemeanor or worse.

What must have happened is that his license was suspended for perhaps not paying a parking ticket to too many points to an alcohol related offense.

Usually the police arrest the person because he or she is driving. Probably what happened here is that he did nt appear in court.

Your son must face the situation head on. He has to surrender himself, clear up the underlying charges that let to his suspension, and then try to work it out with the prosecutor.

To have a criminal record at his age will affect him for the rest of his life. To be in jail, certainly will not be good for him.
