Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Adoption, abandonment and OP's

My ex-wife had me falsely arrested for DV and I was not present for our divorce. As soon as I got out of jail she forced me to break the restrianing order by sending me emails and phone calls. I even sent my daughter a check for christmas and was arrested while in prison for violating the OP. She is recently remarried and I think the new sf is trying to adopt my daughter who is 3yo on grounds of abandonment since I have been unable to pay CS or see our daughter. I only just recently got out of prison and started working again. I filed for visitation.

You should file for a downward modification of support also.

I see no other course unless you want to contest the divorce. If you were served and failed to appear you do not have that available to you.
