Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Appealing a jury verdict

On September 28th, 2007, after 60 minutes of deliberation, a Brooklyn (NY) jury returned a favorable verdict on my behalf following 4 DAYS OF TRIAL in a divorce case. I filed for divorce on 3 grounds, abandonment, constructive abandonment, cruel and unusual punishment. tHE NOW EX-WIFE contested on the ground of grounds, which led to a fault divorce. I won on the ground of abandonment which included lock out. We are in the process of equitable distribution which may lead to another trial. I am hearing that she is considering to appeal the verdict of he jury. What is the statute of limitation to do so? Until how long can she do that? Can I get married in the mieantime? It was a short marriage, 11 months. What is the probability of her winning, keeping me married in a marriage which is not a marriage to satisfy her spiteful intent of keeping me in a limbo to avaoid equitable distribution?

Re: Appealing a jury verdict

She had 30 days to file a "Notice of Appeal" which your attorney would have received copy of notice.

If your attorney didn't receive it she is not appealing.
