Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My aunt and uncle recently split up, they are not married and have no children together. When they split my uncle left all of his stuff on the property, he has no legal proof that he put anything towards the property they are living on. Now he's demanding that my aunt return the things he left. It has been almost two months since he left her and has shown no interest in getting his stuff until just recently. My aunt was wondering what are the laws concerning the property he left behind. Some of the things he left behind are old tools and other stuff that he really didn't show interest in getting back.

TRACEY BLOODSAW LAW OFFICE OF TRACEY A. BLOODSAW

That should have been discussed in the divorce. If she disposes of it then he may pursue a civil matter against her.
