Legal Question in Family Law in New York

child support

My daughter is turning 18 and wants to move in with her stepsister. Do I have to continue paying child support to my exwife? Can I pay it directly to my daughter? Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

If she moves out of the house, she if functionally emancipated.

You would still have to go to court to stop the order of support, but it should be granted.
