Re: divorce

You have my sympathies for what sounds like a difficult situation. It sounds like you have wanted a divorce for some time and only now are moving on it.

The most important financial liability for you will be the child support. Alimony has changed in recent times. The law recognizes that women are often well able to fend for themselves, sometimes able to earn excellant incomes on their own. Therefore, alimony is not a certain thing for you ex-wife. Divorces without alimony are very frequent. Based on your brief email, I believe you are in the "no alimony" category. You are welcome to a consultation at no charge at my offices at 42 west 44th st, ny,ny. Please call first for an appointment - 646-591-5786.
