Legal Question in Family Law in New York

divorce search

Is there anyway I can check on line (free) to see if my husband has filed for Divorce or if it has gone through without me being aware of it. I know by law he has to notify me but he can easly go through the steps and show he doesnt know where I am (although he does) Please help. I was redcently told thathe did divorce me. Thank you

Google search the county in NY where your husband (ex) resides and pull up the County Clerk (Family Law Divisin) or whatever it is called and search his name and/or your name.

If that don't work call them.

Maybe. Many Florida counties have public records located online. You can locate the public records of the county in which your husband or former husband resides by searching on Google or some other search engine. Then search under your name or his to see if any court actions have been filed. If so, look at the docket (if it is online) to determine the status of the case.
