Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My ex-wife is suing for 20 years back alimony. An Income Execution was sent to me and she is now taking over $2,700 a month from me ($500 for monthly alimony and $2,200 for arrears). Document with Income Execution states she can only take 55% if I am supporting a spouse (which I am). Can she do this without me being in court? I was never notified that she was going to court.
