Legal Question in Family Law in New York

grandparents visitation

My daughter and the father of her two children are no longer together. Even though they have joint custody, 'he' very often does not bring the children when he is supposed to as in the court order. Which in turn disrupts any time I as their grandmother get to spend with them. I literally raised those 2 children much of their life. They are 4 and 2. My question is just what are my rights to see them on a regular basis? I know he keeps them from me out of jealousy. I am able to give them alot of love and yes 'things'. We have horses and am teaching them to ride. They are always telling my daughter(their mom) they love coming to grandma's and the farm. What do I do and do I have rights? Thank you for your time.

You can commence a Grandparent visitation proceeding with the Family Court. The Family Court will look at the best interest of the child when deciding visitation.
