Legal Question in Family Law in New York

legal options

I have an order ofpretection against my husband. I am afraid for my saftey, and cannot live with him anymore. I cannot afford a lawyer, but he can. I have to go to family court, and then supreme court with no attorney. I have treid to get free representation but no one is returning my calls. I have no one to borrow money from for an attorney. We have $35,000 in debt, and I may be responible for half of it. I am out of work, currently looking and am a student. I don't know what options I have
