my mother

my mom has dementia and has given her brother power of attorney. am i responsible for her finances because im her daughter, or is it her power of attorney?

If the power of attorney grants her brother the authority to handle her finances then it's his responsibility. The POA should detail all of the responsibilities her brother is to handle on her behalf.
