Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Am I permitted to approach my biological son at his hockey game to give him a contact number for me...He is 22 years old but I had given up parental rights about 17-18 years ago. My ex-wife remarried

and they adopted both my sons...It wasn't a pleasant divorce as her brother was a big shot malpractice attorney...I waited this long to try and contact them so that they would both be 21...I do not want any letters from lawyers saying that I might be harrassing....I just wanted them to know if they would like to contact me that they could....I understand perfectly clear that their feelings could range from resentment to anger to curiosity...whatever they feel is fine,,,This might be my last chance to give them a contact as the younger son will be graduating.....what advice can you offer me or should I just leave well enough alone ?

You want psycological advise, go to another website. However, legally, if the children are over 21 years they are both adults. As long as there is no Order of Protection or as long as you do not do something illegal, you may approach these individuals.
