Legal Question in Family Law in New York

can pictures be used as evidence during a divorce ?

My husband told me he got rid of all my jewelry when we separated. The only evidence I can give the Court of these jewelry are pictures of me wearing them. Will these be enough to prove I had them when we go to Court for the divorce ?

They most certainly will. If you can prove the value of them from what you paid for them (by receipts, appraisals, insurance appraisals) he would have to pay you back.

Your lawyer should be aware of this.
