Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I have a stay away order in family court in ny. My x has 3 violations on it. 1. For stalking. 2. For assaulting me 3. For harrasing my child who is included In order by questing her about my husbands life.

How much time will the judge give him if he goes to trial? Or can he plead out in family court like you do in criminal where they offer u a deal? And if he takes the violations to trial will he get more time versus if he pleads guilty or takes a plea if they offer such a thing in family court.

TRACEY BLOODSAW LAW OFFICE OF TRACEY A. BLOODSAW

He can be incarcerated, which is extreme, for a period of up to one year. With a settlement he can consent to the sanction, as opposed to a trial/hearing where the judge decides. Usually the circumstances is what influences the judge's penalty.
