Legal Question in Family Law in New York

tax return

My divorce agreement states that my ex and I each can take a deuction for one of our two children, but when I went to file my taxes (which had to be prepared by a court appointed accountant this year) they told me she took the deducition for both children so I filed a single with no dependents. How can I correct this, and was she allowed to take credit for both children?

Re: tax return

You will be required to bring a petition in family court for a violation of the terms of your stipulation of settlement and judgement of divorce or an action in supreme court for the same violations. You should get an attorney to assist you on this matter since it can be very complicated.
