Legal Question in Family Law in New York

visitation

hi, me and my fiance part ways approx 4 months ago, we have a 10 month old daughter, she is being really difficult when it comes time for me to see my daughter, from the day she left me i have given her $125.00 per week for our daughter, i purchase the pampers and other misc items, the agreement (verbal) i made with her was that i would pick her up on sundays 10am - 6pm, and that she would give me more time when she gets older, i do not think that she is going to keep her word and it looks like she is trying to phase me out of my kids life, i need advice on how to go about getting legal visitation without spending a fortune.

Re: visitation

You should make application for visitation with the Family Court. This does not have to be done by an attorney. The application should be made in the Family Court in the county where the child resides. An individual at the Family Court will take the necessary information. Service of the papers will be made through the Sheriff's department.
