new york state wills

if i make up my own personal will in new york state and have it notarized with witnesses will it be legal and binding here in ny state?

It depends on the language in the will. I have had wills rejected in Kings County Surrogate's Court because the affidavit of the attesting witnesses was improperly drafted.
